The rise of the Internet of Things (IoT) has given birth to a new era of smart home applications and as part of this project we have successfully developed and delivered a Home Lifestyle Management System to a Japanese Conglomerate.

The Smart Home solution is a one-stop solution for all your smart home needs. It allows you to control multiple devices with just a single application, making it a convenient and efficient choice for anyone. From controlling your air conditioner to managing your washing machine, this application has got you covered.

What truly sets this solution apart is its impressive versatility. It boasts compatibility with a diverse range of devices including Air conditioners (cassette, tower), Lights, Refrigerators, Washing machines (front-load & top load), smart plugs and switches, Standard 3-pin plugs, Smart curtain controllers, Extension boards, IR blasters etc.

One of the most impressive features of the Home Lifestyle Management System is the room feature, which allows users to add multiple devices in one room and even enables AI mode for selected devices. This means that the solution can sense the cooling of the room and adjust temperature settings accordingly. Similar to remote control, the solution also allows users to adjust settings such as swings for their ACs within the application.

The solution also offers the convenience of creating profiles and scheduling the environment at home. For example, you can schedule your water heater to turn on before you reach home, ensuring a warm shower on a cold winter day.

Moreover, the Home Lifestyle Management System is compatible with popular voice assistants such as Alexa and Uhoo (for Singapore users), as well as Matter, making it even more convenient to control your devices with just your voice. Additionally, the app also supports multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Bangla, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Nepali, and Sinhala, catering to users in India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Singapore, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.

The solution offers both manual and cloud-based updates, giving users the flexibility to choose how they want to update their devices. Users can also scan the QR code of a new device and quickly set it up within the app, making the process hassle-free. The solution also provides warranty cards that can be extended from the application itself, and users can also raise any issues they encounter directly from the solution.

While convenience and efficiency are undeniable benefits, the true value of our smart home solutions lies in their ability to delegate the future of IoT and automation. Smart home solutions make life easier for the user but need considerable expertise and consideration to be designed and implemented. An example we would like to cite here is the IR Blaster app, which supports six categories of devices - TVs, set-top boxes, air-conditioners, home theatre systems, projectors, and smart fans, and serves as a “universal remote control” for these. Some of the key factors that we have taken care while designing this application are myriad types of equipment, different hardware configurations across devices etc.

We ensured that the solution was not just technically feasible, but also simple and convenient for the user. Similar to IR Blaster which makes “universal control” a reality, the Home Lifestyle Management System acts as a powerful framework, unlocking a world of possibilities beyond basic device control.
