On International Yoga Day, we celebrated the special day in Truminds Style. The event was attended by members of the Truminds family globally.
On this occasion, we had Honourable Rear Admiral Acharya Rao Surender Singh, as our Guest of Honour. Acharya Rao is an ex-Naval officer who served in the Indian Navy for 25 years and is also a recipient of two prestigious Indian Presidential Awards. He started his journey in the field of Yoga 12 years ago, and #donates the entire money earned through yoga to unprivileged kids.
The session started off with Chanting Shanti mantra followed by Acharya Singh sharing his mantras for healthy & joyful life – The 5 essentials of Yoga – Exercise, Breathing, SatvikDiet (Simple Diet), Relaxation & the most importantly Positive Thinking. He emphasised on the importance of the ‘Art of Breathing’ and guided us to ‘feel the calmness and make it a part of us.’ Later, conveying the importance of Yoga, he insisted to take out 10 minutes from our busy lives daily & practice at least few important asanas like Surya Namaskar, Sarvang asana, Matsaya asana, Dhanur asana etc. to lead a healthy & stress-free life.
It was an amazing session which ended with a short round of laughter therapy and was highlighted that ‘It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile’. So, it is important to have more smiles and fewer frowns. This is something that we absolutely agree with and feel everyone must bear in mind to have a StressFree healthy life, which is the ultimate goal of Yoga.
