This project focused on designing a building monitoring, automation, and visualization platform for a wide range of industries, including industrial, retail, hospitality, and corporate sectors. The platform aimed to provide real-time monitoring of energy usage, HVAC systems, lighting, and security systems, while enabling automation based on factors like occupancy and time of day. The solution’s key objective was to offer businesses an intuitive dashboard that simplified complex data, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced sustainability and security.


The design process involved extensive research, including user interviews with building managers, facility operators, and security personnel. Personas were created to tailor the platform’s features to different user needs, such as real-time energy monitoring for managers, automated lighting for operators, and security control for safety personnel. Interactive wireframes and prototypes were developed to ensure the platform was intuitive, visually engaging, and capable of integrating with existing building management systems and IoT devices.


The final platform allowed users to monitor and control building systems in real-time, automate processes, and receive alerts for critical events. It improved operational efficiency by automating system management, optimizing energy consumption, and enhancing building security. By providing customizable, data-driven insights, the platform empowered users to make informed decisions, contributing to better building performance and cost savings across various industries.
